I have a whole house viewing system. My HD DVR (model HR24-200) is in 1 room and a HD Reciver (model H24-200) in another room. I have a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router WNDR3400 connected to my Motorola modem from COX cable for high-speed internet. This is in another area of my house too far to run an ethernet (CAT5) cable from the router to the HD DVR box. I have a Netgear N600 wireless Dual Band USB Adapter. I was told by a support person that I could hook-up the wireless USB adapter to the HD-DVR box and use that to connect to the internet. Does anyone know if this is possible?

How can this be done? Talking to the same tech they said that you should not hook-up the 'Broadband Deca' box (Which I don't have) to the HD-DVR box because of the SWN power box near the HD-DVR box. My PS3 is next to the HD-DVR and I was able to connect that to the wireless router with no problems. Could I somehow use that to recieve the wireless signal and then send it by CAT5 to the HD-DVR box? I hope I provided enough of information on my problem, I know sometime people don't provide enough of info about a problem.
